He previously served as director of government affairs and main representative to the United Nations for the Center for Inquiry and president of the United Nations NGO Committee on Freedom of Religion or Belief in New York, as well as a writer and editor for the City University of New York, Fox News, and Gannett News Service. He holds a bachelor’s degree in rhetoric and communication from the University at Albany and a master’s degree in political theory from Brooklyn College.
As a result of his work, Michael has appeared on numerous media outlets, including CNN, MSNBC, BBC, New York Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe, Guardian, ThinkProgress, Al Jazeera, and Hannity.
